Ball Five: A&M's series win over Cal Poly points to developing trends

Texas A&M watched a 35-game non-conference winning streak come to an end on Sunday afternoon as the Aggies fell just shy of sweeping Cal Poly. It was the lack of offensive production that plagued the Maroon & White and prevented them from a second sweep.

Texas A&M’s weekend came to a disappointing finish in the final inning of the series that otherwise yielded positive results. The Aggies earned the series victory with their wins on Friday and Saturday, and they were just pitches away from sweeping another series. This being the team’s first non-conference loss since the 2023 season hurts, but it points to this team figuring it out for the rest of their non-conference schedule.
