Ball Five: Statistical takeaways from A&M's showing at the 'Ice Box'

Sunday saw Texas A&M break out of its offensive slump with a 14-run explosion vs. Rice, but that was not enough to outweigh a pair of losses to Arizona and Oklahoma State earlier in the weekend. The statistics will show that the Aggies still have work to do to regain "elite" status.

A bounce-back win against Rice on Sunday will help get rid of the bad taste of what was a frustrating weekend in general.

Texas A&M finished the weekend 1-2 with losses to Arizona and Oklahoma State, and the Aggies were just pitches away from a 2-1 weekend instead prior to Arizona’s late comeback on Friday. Despite the results, there was some good along with the bad this weekend and certainly plenty to improve upon.
