Baseball Thoughts: Taking inventory of A&M's only five-game week

Dropping to No. 19 in the latest D1Baseball rankings, Texas A&M went 3-2 over a week that included a loss to UTSA and a failure to sweep New Mexico State on Sunday. Still, Michael Earley & Co. are beginning to show signs of life at the plate and in the field as SEC play looms.

As we move into the middle of March, we are inching closer and closer to the "you are what your record says you are" territory for the Texas A&M baseball team.

To be candid, I believe that 9-6 is a fair depiction of the overall type of aesthetic we've seen through 15 games, especially at the plate and in the field. However, in a similar vein, the past seven days were much more pleasing to the eye than the previous seven.

The Tuesday night contest was a stinker.
