Baseball Thoughts: Battling team-wide self-doubt after being swept

The weekend at Blue Bell Park offered gut-punch after gut-punch as Texas A&M was swept out of its own ballpark by the Alabama Crimson Tide. Sitting at 10-9 overall and 0-3 in conference, the Aggies' biggest challenge is preventing self-doubt from taking over the clubhouse.

One step forward. Two steps back.

After 19 games, I think that would be the best way to succinctly surmise this Texas A&M baseball season so far. A team struggling to form an identity under a first-year head coach has not been able to string together any sort of elemental consistency outside of the starting pitching.

You often hear the term "complementary" to describe football. Essentially, each side of the ball works off of each other to the benefit of the overall team.
