I'm okay with this hire. I'm still dumbfounded that Alberts seemed to be blindsided by Buzz's defection. Anyone who looked at this roster could see Buzz had nothing after this year and was going to jump ship. Can't blame Buzz, but he's a bit of a coward. Zero respect for the guy the way he left, but I truly wonder how much Alberts talks to his coaches. It seems like Alberts just wants his choice in place and was willing to let Buzz, who he inherited, go.

Good try boys. You highlighted the fact of our head coaching inexperience in the 3 major sports, and how unusual that is, and the uncertainty it brings.

Isn't there a lot of people on the payroll to avoid such situations?

Sark - Elko
Schloss - Earley
Miller - Bucky

Enough said.

We'll keep hoping and praying that our coaches grow to become Texas Aggie Legends! Gig'em!

Incorrect on him being blindsided. A blind hog knew Buzz was planning on leaving.

Correct on him and Buzz not talking much. It was pretty obvious they were not chummy with one another.

There was not much effort by either side in working on an extension. And both sides were fine with it. I'm also fine with it.

No one cares about women's basketball. If you are going to add that one, add the other sports we are better than them as well. Funny you put that one in the list.

Women's basketball is a good marketing tool for a university. We have a good history in the sport too. It's weird we're so bad at it currently and not finding a coach.

I think that one is more about where Schaefer came from than where he currently is
