Texas A&M boarded the plane to Knoxville with its season on life support.

The pathway to the postseason was bleak — to put it mildly.

The situation only got exacerbated on Friday night when they got their teeth kicked in by then-No. 1 Tennessee to the tune of a 10-0 run rule. If that wasn't bad enough, Volunteer ace Liam Doyle shoved the baseball down their throats on the way to a no-hitter.
