A strong argument can be made that defense is the key to Texas A&M’s football success in 2025.

Last season, two of the Aggies’ five losses were to teams that reached the final four of the College Football Playoff. Though not acceptable, that’s understandable.

However, the other three losses came in games in which A&M allowed 35 points or more. The Aggies gave up vital last-minute drives in two of those losses.

Improved defense figures to translate to more victories.
