On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Callie Garner took us Around Aggieland with the latest on all things Texas A&M, from the diamond sports to women’s golf and volleyball. Plus, updates on Aggie basketball as Bucky McMillan added to his staff and the 2025-26 roster takes shape.

Baseball
The Aggies took Game 1 of their series against South Carolina on Thursday night in walk-off fashion, thanks to a 10th-inning home run from Caden Sorrell. Sorrell is batting .400 since his return and has five home runs through eight games. Also, delivering a big performance was Weston Moss. He came out of the bullpen and was dominant, tallying eight strikeouts and allowing just one run in 3.1 innings.

The Aggies look to claim their second straight series tonight, with first pitch set for 6 p.m.

Softball
The third-ranked Aggies welcome No. 6 LSU to town for the second top-10 matchup at Davis Diamond this season. Texas A&M boasts a 20-4 record at home and has outscored opponents 177-67 in Aggieland, backed by the support of the 12th Man.

The Aggies have won nine straight and look to push the streak to double digits tonight, with first pitch set for 6 p.m.

Basketball
Texas A&M men’s basketball head coach Bucky McMillan added assistant coach T.J. Cleveland to his staff on Thursday. Known for his recruiting prowess, Cleveland brings experience from the SEC and most recently coached at Wichita State.

Also joining the Aggies next season is freshman Jeremiah Green‍, who reaffirmed his commitment to the Maroon & White on Thursday.

Women’s tennis
The Aggies have a chance to claim the SEC regular-season title this weekend as they host No. 21 South Carolina on Friday and No. 1 Georgia on Sunday. Texas A&M enters the weekend with a 66-match home win streak and a 21-2 overall record.

Five Aggies are ranked in the ITA collegiate singles rankings, and one doubles team is also ranked in the top 100. Admission is free for all fans this weekend at the Mitchell Tennis Center.

Volleyball
Texas A&M volleyball announced its 2025 conference schedule on Thursday. For the first time, the Aggies will face all 15 other SEC programs. They’ll open the slate with back-to-back home matches against Missouri and Vanderbilt.

The Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown is set for Halloween night at Reed Arena. This year, the Aggies will have just one shot at the rivalry trophy, as they won’t play a home-and-home series with Texas.
