Ball Five: Success in big moments yields another big series win for A&M

With stout pitching performances from starters and relievers alike combined with a couple of clutch hits, Texas A&M earned its third series victory over an opponent ranked in the nation's top two as the Aggies took two of three from then-No. 2 LSU over the weekend at Olsen Field.

Texas A&M got back on track in its biggest home series of the season over the weekend.

The Aggies took the bookends of the three-game set as they hosted the second-ranked LSU Tigers at Blue Bell Park.

A&M’s pitching staff was great throughout the series, and the bats did just enough in big moments to snatch two games away from the Bayou Bengals.

These were the key statistical areas that led A&M to its third series victory over a top-two team.
