Ball Five: Up-and-down performances lead to series loss in Athens

Despite an obvious tick up in production vs. Georgia over the weekend, Texas A&M still sank to a series loss in the final regular-season weekend of the year. The Aggies' only hopes for a berth in the 2025 NCAA Tournament is through a run of complete performances in Hoover.

Texas A&M was certainly better in Athens compared to the home performance vs. Missouri.

However, the Aggies were not quite good enough to take the three-game set from the Bulldogs, as the Maroon & white won just one contest. Hitting was fairly consistent throughout the weekend, while the pitching staff had an up-and-down go of things.

The result of this weekend just means the Aggies will need their best at the SEC Tournament in Hoover.
