2027 Tyler Legacy OL DeMarrion Johnson commits to Texas A&M

Mike Elko and the Fightin' Texas Aggies have welcomed the commitment of 2027 Tyler Legacy offensive lineman DeMarrion Johnson. At 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, the East Texas standout commits to Texas A&M over offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas and others.

Texas A&M has gone behind the Pine Curtain and grabbed a verbal commitment in the class of 2027 from Tyler Legacy OL DeMarrion Johnson‍.

The 6-foot-7, 300-pounder becomes the Aggies’ second pledge in that cycle and chose a future in the Maroon & White over offers from Alabama, Florida, Texas, Tennessee and many others.

Johnson camped in College Station last summer, where he spent a lot of time working with Adam Cushing. In that setting (as well as throughout his sophomore year), he showed an intriguing combination of mobility and nimbleness for such a young player with that massive of a frame. The requisite length to stick at tackle is definitely present, but early on, he has flashed a little bit more pop and juice from the interior positions.

You can view his tape below.

Stay tuned as we’ll have more shortly for our TexAgs Premium subscribers.

I mean, 6'7" and 300 pounds? You definitely don't want to get in front of that...

Tyler Legacy is the name of the HS. It was Tyler Lee (Robert E. Lee) but that one is now he who must not be named.

President John Tyler himself was a slaveholder and advocate of states' rights. Shouldn't they rename the whole city to Legacy?

"We the people" have pumped the brakes on that slippery slope, for now.

MAN. I sure hope we can sign this kid! The vultures are gonna continue to be as aggresive as ever with this recruit.

Can you imagine a 6 ft 7in, 300 lb buddy sitting next to you in High School? My God. I would definitely befriend him as quickly as possible.

I have a son that is expected to be 6 ft 8in. But more like 220-230 lbs. If only I had been given that size....

Remember that only a small amount of folks wanted that name change 5 years ago in Midland at Lee HS. Now they are going to change it back because the majority wants it! Well done Midland. Tyler needs to follow in their footsteps.

I do not see any comments celebrating either way, not sure who you are addressing. Maybe check your sensitivities. My goodness...
