Former Southern Illinois guard Ali Dibba has announced his commitment to Texas A&M.

At 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, Dibba averaged 17.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game as a senior for the Salukis. He shot 49.0 percent from the field, 33.7 percent from 3-point range and 66.0 percent at the free-throw line.

Dibba started in all 33 games for Southern Illinois in 2024-25 as the Salukis finished 14-19 overall and 8-12 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Prior to playing for Bryan Mullins, Dibba spent two seasons at Abilene Christian, where he appeared in 61 games for the Wildcats. As a junior in 2023-24, he led ACU in scoring at 15.5 points per game to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists. Before his time in Abilene, Dibba began his collegiate career at Chicago State and played in five games for the Cougars in 2021-22.

Despite playing four seasons of college basketball, he is eligible for 2025-26. Dibba’s agent told Jon Rothstein that he has received a waiver from the NCAA for an additional year of eligibility for this year.

The native of Stockholm, Sweden, is the 11th transfer portal addition for Bucky McMillan and his staff this offseason.
