Key notes from Olin’s thoughts on Concepcion
- I'm looking forward to seeing KC Concepcion play in a real game for the Aggies. I think he’s going to bring a new dimension to the Aggies' offense.
- He was the ACC Freshman of the Year. He is fast, has good hands and runs good routes. I think A&M got better the day he said he was coming here. The receiver position? Some concern? He will ease some of that concern.
- I was watching some of the games from NC State. The slant... He’s lethal on it. He has the ability to get in front of people. I think that’ll be a heck of a combination with him and Marcel Reed.
- He brings an explosive element to the offense that maybe wasn’t there last year. A lot of the time, it was because defenders missed tackles… This is a guy who can catch the ball and do great things with it. Kind of like Ainias Smith. Maybe a little faster than Smith.
- I wouldn’t be surprised seeing him on jet sweeps, probably in the slot, but you can bring him out wide if you need to. Any way you can think of to get one-on-one matchups, because he’s going to win them more often than not.
- I was watching him against some really good teams. They played Clemson, and they lost, but he was doing everything he could. He kept them in the game. He’s an electric player, and I think you’ll see a lot of big plays on this offense provided by him.
