- I would rather have what happened with Mike Elko giving up 20-plus points in those two games than Notre Dame having one game and sitting on the bench after it. I think it helps A&M not to have the start and stop. You want a bye week around Week 6, but if you have some momentum, you can’t wait to get back out there, especially in the secondary, where Elko wants to fix that before the game this weekend.
