2026 combo guard Neiko Mundey commits to Texas A&M basketball

Four-star combo guard Neiko Mundey has announced his commitment to Texas A&M.
The top-50 national prospect picked the Aggies over Auburn, Texas and USC.
This is a massive high school commitment for Bucky McMillan, as Mundey is the first top-100 high school prospect to commit to Texas A&M since Manny Obaseki (top-40 in the class of 2021).
The 6-foot-3 combo guard from Landover, MD, is the No. 3 player in Maryland, a top-10 combo guard and a top-50 player in the class of 2026.
Mundey is an aggressive, ultra-competitive two-way player who can score with great volume and lock up his matchup in the backcourt. He averaged 21 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field, 40 percent from 3-point range and 73 percent at the free throw line last season for Prince George’s Christian Academy. In his last AAU season, Mundey finished as a top-five scorer in the 3SSB circuit at 21.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 49.4 percent from the field and 44.6 percent from 3-point range (50-of-112).
One of the best bucket getters in his class, Mundey fits well into McMillan’s system with his elite skill to get to the free-throw line, a staple of Bucky Ball. He shot 117 free throws across 18 AAU games, good for 6.5 FTA per game.
Mundey received his offer on May 7 and has been in constant contact with McMillan and his staff since then, putting the Aggies in his top eight on Aug. 15. In-person off-campus recruiting started for seniors on Sept. 2, and Mundey was clearly a major priority, getting an in-home visit from McMillan the next day. A&M’s staff got Mundey to move his USC visit, which was scheduled for Sept. 13-14, to come to Aggieland for his official visit. McMillan got Mundey to commit while on his visit, a trend we saw during his run of portal pickups in the spring and summer.
The first Bucky Ball recruiting class starts with a bang as Neiko Mundey makes his way to Aggieland.
