After an incredible weekend of marquee matchups, college football takes a breather heading into Week 6. Only two top-25 matchups highlight the slate this week, as well as an interesting matchup between No. 6 Texas A&M and the injury-infested Mississippi State Bulldogs. It’s time to take a good look at the PrizePicks board and find some value plays.
*Numbers are subject to change*
Aggie of the Week (2-3 Record)
KC Concepcion, WR
MORE THAN 65.5 Receiving Yards
Concepcion has hit this number every single week this season. Mississippi State has some burners at wide receiver that these corners can use in practice to prepare for A&M’s speed. However, it has yet to be seen if the Bulldogs can cover this level of speed and talent.
Lineup of the Week
Germie Bernard, WR, Alabama
MORE THAN 57.5 Receiving Yards
Isaiah Horton was the guy last week, and Ryan Williams the week before that. This exact number was in this lineup last week to no avail, but as long as this number is as low as it is and Ty Simpson is playing at the level he is, the chances of this one hitting are high.
Brendan Sorsby, QB, Cincinnati
MORE THAN 1.5 Passing TDs
Ever since the Week 1 disaster that was the Nebraska game, Sorsby has been absolutely dealing. There are still concerns about Iowa State’s defense, as the Cyclones haven’t played against an offense as good as this one up to this point. The receivers are playing great, and a win for Cincinnati here would sneakily put them in the Big 12 race.
DJ Lagway, QB, Florida
LESS THAN 189.5 Passing Yards
This shouldn’t be a surprise to folks if they have watched Florida play football. There is an understanding that a negative game script could lead to surplus passing yards for Lagway. However, in the second half of the Miami game, Florida saw some success running the football. Keeping the ball on the ground and limiting possessions will be a priority for Billy Napier & Co.
KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M
MORE THAN 65.5 Receiving Yards
For all of the reasons mentioned above, Concepcion is the guy this week.
Bo Jackson, RB, Ohio State
MORE THAN 74.5 Rushing Yards
Jackson has officially emerged. James Peoples’ under was in the lineup here last week, and it wasn’t even a sweat. With 17 carries against Washington, the anticipation is that Jackson could get a similar workload against a Minnesota team that got exploited by Rutgers’ Antwan Raymond.
Other Dawson Selections
Caleb Goodie, WR, Iowa State - MORE THAN 43.5 Receiving Yards
T.J. Moore, WR, Clemson - MORE THAN 39.5 Receiving Yards
Isaac Brown, RB, Louisville - LESS THAN 70.5 Rushing Yards
Arch Manning, QB, Texas - LESS THAN 217.5 Passing Yards
Mark Fletcher Jr., RB, Miami - MORE THAN 80.5 Rushing Yards
