This past weekend, Texas A&M defeated Auburn 16-10 to make their first conference win of the season, in front of the fifth-largest crowd at Kyle Field. The Aggies are 4-0 to start the season for the first time since 2016 and 1-0 to start SEC play for the fourth consecutive year, and they have now moved up to No. 6 in the AP Poll following the Auburn win.
On the offensive side of the ball, Marcel Reed finished the game 15-of-22 passing for 201 yards. Le'Veon Moss led the run game with 21 rushes for 139 yards and scored the Aggies’ only touchdown of the game, and KC Concepcion led all receivers with seven catches for 113 yards.
The Aggie defense showed out on Saturday as they had five sacks and six tackles for loss, holding Auburn to just 177 yards of total offense and 0-for-13 on third down. Taurean York had a standout game, contributing seven tackles, two tackles for loss, three quarterback pressures and also tallied his first sack of the season. The Aggies will stay at home this weekend to take on Mississippi State under the lights at Kyle Field beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Volleyball
The Texas A&M volleyball team defeated Missouri in four sets and Vanderbilt in three to tally its first two SEC wins of the season.
Ifenna Cos-Okpalla earned her second SEC Player of the Week honor and sixth Defensive Player of the Week honor of her career after she recorded 15 kills, 15 blocks and five aces in the two SEC matchups.
The Aggies now sit at No. 9 in the AVCA polls as they travel to play South Carolina tonight at 6 p.m.
Soccer
Texas A&M soccer fell to No. 5 Tennessee, 1-0. Even though they couldn’t come out with a win, the Aggies topped the Lady Vols in all the statistical margins, including 10-8 in shots, 3-2 in shots-on-goal and 7-4 in corner kicks.
The Ags return home to face the Texas Longhorns this Thursday at 7 p.m. in the first edition of the Lone Star Showdown during the 2025-26 athletic year.
