On to the next.

After cruising past Oklahoma in three sets on Friday, Texas A&M volleyball will look to improve to 7-1 in conference as they take on Arkansas on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT inside Reed Arena.

The 10th-ranked Aggies have cemented themselves as one of the SEC’s most consistent teams, as they rank third in the league standings and continue to play with dominance and fire.

Arkansas enters the match at 5-13 overall and on a six-match losing streak, sitting 1-6 in SEC play. The Razorbacks’ last win came on Sept. 26 in a five-set battle against Ole Miss.

Despite their record, the Hogs have shown fight in many of their matches, so it will be up to the Aggies to shut them down and remain disciplined throughout the match.

“I haven’t watched Arkansas as much, but I really respect Jason (Watson), the head coach there,” said A&M head coach Jamie Morrison. “He’s someone that I’ve known from the very beginning of my coaching career. I think he’ll have his team ready to go out and battle.”

Sunday’s matchup against the Razorbacks is another chance for the Maroon & White to continue building their postseason resume and build momentum at home before they face a pair of road matches.

You can expect senior All-American Logan Lednicky to continue to lead the Aggie offense, as she had 10 kills on Friday and recently moved into ninth place on the program’s career kills list, with 1,433.

Logan Lednicky’s 10-kill performance vs. Oklahoma was the 13th time she has reached double digits in the category this season.

A dynamic duo of Ifenna Cos-Okpalla and Morgan Perkins remains dominant at the net, both offensively and defensively, as they combined for a total of five blocks and 14 kills.

Additionally, Sunday’s match will be the second half of A&M’s senior celebration, as the Ags honor the rest of an outstanding class in Tatum Thomas, Emily Hellmuth, Lexi Guinn, Taylor Humphery and Maddie Waak.

This very talented senior class has been one to remember, as each athlete continues to leave their mark on the program in their own way. Each has bought into coach Morrison’s vision and has helped A&M volleyball grow into the team that they are today.

“They all bought into this place and this program, this crowd that wasn’t necessarily here when I got here, but they bought into the belief and the vision of what it could be,” said Morrison. “I told them earlier, and I’ll say this publically, I don’t think that there’s anything that’s a greater honor for me that people bought into what I was believing, and I’m proud of the fact that we were able to deliver a successful volleyball program so far this season.”

Fans can catch the Aggies and their standout senior class back in action on Sunday as they aim to take down the Razorbacks and keep the momentum rolling.
