Focused ninth-ranked Aggies aim to keep pushing in Oxford

Following Friday's road win in Baton Rouge, No. 9 Texas A&M volleyball carries a four-match winning streak into Oxford for a Sunday afternoon meeting with Ole Miss. At 8-1 in conference, a match against the 2-7 Rebs offers a chance for the Ags to keep the momentum rolling.

It’s time to stay focused and keep pushing.

More than halfway through conference play, the ninth-ranked Aggies are 8-1 and show no signs of slowing down.

Following a 3-1 win over LSU on Friday night, Texas A&M will look to extend its winning streak to five against Ole Miss on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT in Oxford.

The Rebels, led by head coach Bre Henry, are 2-7 in conference play and 10-10 overall.

This match presents another opportunity for the Aggies to add to the win column as they aim for a deep postseason run.

Playing with a sense of urgency, staying focused and giving it their all on every point will be key.

“I love how we’re playing with a sense of urgency across the board,” said head coach Jamie Morrison earlier this week. “Every point matters. The way that we win matters. The way that we act on the court matters. We need to keep doing what we’re doing.”

The leaders behind A&M’s success — a standout senior class — have continued to prove why the Aggies are among the best in the nation.

SEC Player and Offensive Player of the Week Logan Lednicky leads the Aggies’ offense. On Friday, she climbed into the top eight of the program’s all-time kills list after recording 14 in Baton Rouge. It was also the All-American’s ninth straight conference match with double-digit kills.

Maddie Waak, the driving force behind A&M’s efficient and balanced offense. As the SEC’s co-Setter of the Week, she continues to lead the nation in assists per set with 11.49.

All-American middle blocker Ifenna Cos-Okpalla also made her mark, as she moved into the program's top six for career blocks, after tallying seven vs. LSU.

This successful senior class, along with the rest of the Aggie crew, has the chance to keep its winning streak alive and further secure A&M’s spot as one of the nation’s best.

Sudnay’s match also serves as a key opportunity for the Ags to continue building momentum, as they look ahead to next week’s high-stakes showdown against No. 2 Texas — a rivalry matchup that will likely have major postseason implications.

A&M knows what is at stake. Every point, every set and every win counts as they push toward their goals.

It’s time to focus, play with urgency, take down the Rebels and push forward.
