When the Aggies entered the SEC 14 years ago, Kevin Sumlin told me prior to A&M’s home date with LSU, “The team you’re going to see us play on Saturday, the goal is to look like them one day.” It took longer than it should have for the Aggies to beat the Bayou Bengals, finally breaking through in 2018 following six straight losses, but when it did, I said that the next step was to make it a “home team wins” series.
