COLLEGE STATION - No last second heroics from Elston Turner were needed Monday night.

In fact, Turner may not have even been needed.

Texas A&M (5-1) took control early and never relented en route to a dominating 78-65 college basketball victory over Northwestern State (3-2) before 4,289 at Reed Arena.

It wasn’t that close.

Coach Billy Kennedy emptied his bench in the last two minutes and the visiting Demons hit a three-pointer at the final buzzer.
