Football
Aggie football added yet another win after a great second half to take down LSU, 49-25. The Aggies are now 5-0 in conference play and 8-0 on the season for the first time since 1992.
Marcel Reed led the offense and earned his first SEC Offensive Player of the Week award. This was his first career game, scoring two passing and two rushing touchdowns. The Aggies put up 310 yards of total offense while Reed rushed for a career-high 108 rushing yards on 13 carries, while passing for 202 yards on 12-of-21 attempts. KC Concepcion had 177 all-purpose yards to go along with one receiving score and a punt-return touchdown.
The Texas A&M defense made a difference in this win as they limited LSU to one score after halftime. Dalton Brooks had a team-high six tackles, and Cashius Howell tallied yet another SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week award, which makes his third this season. He currently leads the SEC in sacks and tallied two more on Garrett Nussmeier, which made for his third game this season recording multiple sacks. The entire A&M defense had a total of seven sacks and 11 tackles for loss.
Aggie football will look to come out of the bye week and travel to Columbia to take on Missouri (6-2) for their third straight road game.
Volleyball
Ifenna Cos-Okpalla was named to her third SEC Defensive Player of the Week accolade this season and 11th weekly award of her career after sweeping both LSU and Ole Miss on the road. In seven sets, she had 10 blocks, 16 kills and five aces, which moved her up to No. 6 on Texas A&M's career block list.
Aggie volleyball will take on Texas at home on Halloween night this Friday with the first match beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT.
Men’s Basketball
The Aggie men's basketball team played Arizona State this weekend in their first exhibition game. They came out on top, 95-88, as Zach Clemence scored a team-high 20 points. The Aggies begin the regular season Monday, Nov. 3, as they host Northwestern State.
Men’s Golf
Texas A&M men's golf earned its second win of the season, finishing 10-under 566, beating out Rutgers at 8-under and West Virginia at 6-under.
Women’s Golf
The No. 4 Texas A&M women's golf team came back to beat No. 15 Baylor by four shots to win their fourth tournament championship of the fall.
