After months of preparation, it’s almost time.

No. 6 Texas A&M volleyball has been preparing all season long to reach its goal of a deep postseason run.

Now, the Aggies have one final chance to prepare as they face Georgia in their regular-season finale at 12 p.m. on Sunday in Reed Arena.

As the Maroon & White head into their last match before the conference tournament, the Aggies are 13-1 and second in the SEC standings.

Following a sweep of Florida earlier this week, A&M pushed its winning streak to nine.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 9-4 and fifth in the conference standings.

“They have a really, really fast offense,” said Jamie Morrison earlier this week. “We’re going to have to deal with some speed.”

Offensively, former Aggie Bianna Muoneke and MK Patten are Georgia’s leaders. Defensively, middle blocker Kendal Kemp ranks third in the conference in blocks, averaging 1.52 per set.

A&M ranks second in the conference in opponent hitting percentage at .172, while Georgia ranks third, averaging .191.

AVCA Player of the Year semifinalist Logan Lednicky has led the Aggies all season long, consistently racking up double-digit kills, proving that she is a force to be reckoned with.

Outside hitters Kyndal Stowers and Emily Hellmuth have also continued to be strong contributors on offense, as they had eight and five kills, respectively, against Florida.

Orchestrating the A&M offense is senior setter Maddie Waak, who currently leads the nation in assists per set at 11.44. The SEC Setter of the Week demonstrates the incredible ability to consistently create opportunities for her hitters and create a balanced offense has been key to the Aggies’ success all season long.

All-American middle blocker Ifenna Cos-Okpalla has consistently dominated at the net, both offensively and defensively, as she ranks second in the conference in hitting percentage and first in blocks per set.

As the Aggies look toward their postseason ambitions, Sunday provides one final tune-up before tournament play begins.
