Highlights: Athens outlasts Gilmer in TXHSFB playoff slugfest

On Friday night in Henderson, the Gilmer Buckeyes and Athens Hornets went toe-to-toe in a back-and-forth East Texas slugfest, but in the end, Athens was able to separate for the 57-49 win. TexAgs was there for all the action, and now we bring you the highlights.

On Friday night in Henderson, the Gilmer Buckeyes and Athens Hornets went toe-to-toe in a back-and-forth East Texas slugfest, but in the end, Athens was able to separate for the 57-49 win.

On offense, defense and special teams, there were big plays, missed opportunities and drama all the way through the final minutes.

There were missed PATs and two-point conversions, successful onside kicks and explosive offensive playmakers made huge momentum-changing plays throughout the night.
