Men’s Basketball
Aggie men's basketball unfortunately broke their six-game win streak last night and fell to the No. 24 Tennessee Volunteers, losing 87-82 in double OT after leading for over 35 minutes.
Jacari Lane led the Aggies with a season-high 20 points and nine assists. Pop Isaacs cooked up 16 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Rubén Dominguez brought 15 points, and Rashaun Agee added 11 points, nine rebounds and two blocks. Bucky Ball will stay on the road and travel to Austin this weekend to take on the Longhorns on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT.
Women’s Basketball
Aggie women’s basketball was defeated by the No. 7 Vanderbilt Commodores, who put up 91 points while the Ags only managed 51.
Vandy really took control in the second half with their double-digit lead, and A&M just couldn’t find much offensive rhythm after that. Ny’Ceara Pryor led the way for the Aggies with 11 points, plus five assists and five rebounds, and she’s now just one point away from becoming the sixth player in DI history with 2,000 points, 500 assists and 400 steals. The Ags will also travel to Austin this weekend for the Lonestar Showdown and face the No. 2 Texas Longhorns on Sunday.
Softball
Mya Perez and KK Dement were named to the D1 Top 100 Preseason Player Rankings, Perez coming in at No. 15 after her incredible sophomore season, where she earned Second Team All-America honors, NFCA All-Region Second Team recognition and All-SEC First Team accolades while breaking a 43-year-old school single-season RBI record with 73. She was also just chosen for the Softball America Preseason All-America First Team.
Dement ranks at No.48 after earning D1 Softball All-America Freshman First Team honors, NFCA All-Region First Team recognition and SEC All-Tournament Team accolades last year.
Aggie softball will open their 2026 season by hosting the Aggie Classic on Feb. 5, against ACU at 4:30 p.m. and Utah State at 7 p.m. at home.
