Coming into the season, one of the biggest question marks surrounding the Aggies was whether the A&M defense would be able to slow down the SEC’s vaunted running games.

The Aggies held up just fine in the trenches and actually excelled, ranking in the national top 40 against the run and holding opponents to just 3.7 yards per carry.

More telling, however, was the way the Aggies stuffed Alabama’s powerful running backs and forced LSU and Florida to fight for hard yards.
