Ball Five: Potent offense powers A&M to another SEC series win

Texas A&M is averaging 9.83 runs per game in SEC play, and the offense got some help from the Aggie pitching staff in a Friday doubleheader as the Maroon & White claimed the series over Vanderbilt at Blue Bell Park.

The Aggies are on a heater right now, winning eight of their last nine contests and six of their last seven in conference play. Texas A&M protected its home field against a Vanderbilt team coming off a sweep themselves, and the Ags played better as the series went along. The offense did its job throughout the whole weekend, while the pitching staff bounced back from a brutal performance on Thursday and shut down the Commodores in both Friday contests.
