After his senior year of high school football at Bishop Dunne came to an end, Ishmael Wilson traveled to Houston where he competed in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl. There, he met five of his future Texas A&M teammates (at the time) and showed off their Aggie pride.

"We all had our A&M attire on and we made it clear where we were going to school," said Wilson. "Some of the other guys had their SEC school clothes on and we were getting to know them too.
