Glad to hear this. Magadan has really stepped up. Incredible player. I'm not the coach, but we clearly have an issue at line 3 doubles that seemed to have had some sort of solution yesterday. Perego and Casper were not meshing as a team. Luke played with Ritesh and looked much better yesterday.

Is JC injured or being punished for some reason?

Coach Denton said JC had a back injury at Vandy. Had to shuffle the line up in singles and at Ole Miss. not sure of his availability this weekend.

We are in a tough battle. Theo wins on line 1. Everything else highly contested.

Match was looking good when the team won the first set in 4 singles matches. USC passed us into second place in the conference standings.

Dang. Doubles was so close.

Have won first set against Tennessee on lines 2, 3 and 5.

Papamalamis loses at Line 1. Match tied 1-1.

Magadan wins at Line 2. He lost to the same player last Friday. Ags up 2-1.

The rest of the singles matches are in a 3rd set. Last Friday 5 matches went to a 3rd set.

Lost 4-2.

I believe that will knock us out of hosting first and second round of NCAAs

Only won once in the last 5 matches.

When is it time to move on from Steve and Kevin? Steve is on year 19 I believe. We have underperformed in the latter part of the season the last few years.

This year the lineup was all over the place. No consistency at all match to match. 3 doubles looked lost most of the year. I think the amount of foreigners and portal players we brought in showed that they were grasping for straws this year. Felt like make or break for the coaches.

Thoughts?

I wish we had a JC injury update. He is a really strong 2 and everyone being up a line has had an impact.

It's hard to know what to think. Are we consistently above average? Yes. Good? Yes. Great? No. Do we have the resources to bring in top recruits? Yes. Do we have top notch facilities? No. Doubles has always been a strength of Steve but the last year has been hard to watch. JC being out of the lineup has really killed our chances. Magadan is not a line 2 player in the SEC. Doubles? Very talented player but we just don't have the depth at the top to compete. Our experienced lower line players are too inconsistent. This does all fall on the coaches. However, as long as we are consistently above average, I don't think they will ever move on from Steve. The program will have to fall off the cliff for 2-3 years before anything would be done. Sadly, I think we will have to wait until he retires.

Losing JC at line 2 really hurt coming down the stretch. Steve has an unbelievable eye for talent. Help is on the way I think.
