Couple laps early to go to slick tires apparently
I don't think it's that harsh. I know there were complaints about hard braking under safety cars in the past. Plus I don't think the stewards don't want to **** around with safety car issues. SOmeone really could get seriously injured.Enviroag02 said:
10 seconds is pretty harsh for that…will McLaren protest?

What happened to Leclerc after they all switched to slicks? He off road it once or twice?
Where have you sat previously at Silverstone? We're toying around with the idea of going next year (for the first time) and looking at different grandstand and hospitality optionsjorgerr96 said:
Apparently they announced at the track that F1 Academy is racing at Silverstone next year...so that makes Silverstone the second GP to have the full F2-F3-F1 Academy package (Barcelona 2024 had it)...
Metallica also happens to be playing two nights in London that weekend. WAY tempted to make a trip back to Silverstone now lol

I did Becketts, it was great, plus it was covered so was safe from the rain (it was 2022 when the quali rained hard and Sainz got the pole then his first win).
The grandstands there all have funny names, Maggots, Copse, kinda hard to memorize your way there lol.
Got confirmation F1A is there next year so I'll likely be on the hunt for tickets come september. A race weekend loaded with all the feeders doesn't come around often

Regarding the Piastri penalty. We can all look at it in a vacuum and say what he did was dangerous, but he did exactly the same thing 4 laps earlier with almost the same brake pressure and mph reduction. In that case the response from Verstappen wasn't crazy. The stewards looked at it and no penalty or warning was assessed. Then 4 laps later, it happens again and this time Verstappen looks like he has to take evasive maneuvers and ultimately passes Piastri. Personally, I believe this penalty was planned by and caused by Verstappen knowing it was coming and embellishing the optics.
