Slight hiccup in my British Grand Prix plans.

My best friend works in the local government and cannot get the time off to go as the World Cup is going on here in Kansas City. I'm taking my dad with me instead. I have all my accommodations and flights books (air travel is ****ing expensive as hell right now).

The only thing I still need to sort out is car rental since we are driving to the circuit. I could easily rent an affordable car like a Skoda Octavia.

Or I could try and find something a little more fun to drive around the English countryside. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any.

LeClerc extends his current contract by a couple of years, so staying at Ferrari into the 2030s….

Short explanation:

We'll see if it's a permanent attempt. Trackhouse has put former F1 drivers into a single road course race in the past. I'd love to see it.

Will be interesting to see his wheel talent on what will be a brand new course for everyone. Which means SVG has the edge over the field.

He is beginning to figure out circle tracks too. What a talent that dude is.

Yep. His 2 other teammates blew up their rotors last weekend and heard chatter on NASCAR Sirius this week from the team and others saying Nashville is very hard to dial in brakes because if you add too much coolant then the delta from cooling them down to them heating back up can get too extreme and cause issues. Nobody knew exactly what it was yet, but when I heard that and SVG didn't blow his, I immediately thought of his braking style being so different than anyone else, even on ovals....that probably saved his car.

We are staying in Coventry and we were thinking about doing that until today.

I just got an email from the hospitality services saying that because my dad has a handicap placard, they are giving us a disabled parking pass which allows us to drive into the inner track and park next to the medical facility. We have tickets to the ignition club which I think is pretty close to the medical facility. So I think we will be doing that instead.

i havent been since 2022 but i remember leaving late every day and there was not much traffic but sunday morning and leaving was very busy. i think the concerts (and thursday) are more popular now so the shuttles keep going until late night as well. going to be interesting. even tho it is a crowded race i felt the circuit is too big you dont notice it since there were no bottlenecks or anything like that, hoping for the same this year
