Claude Lemieux passed away. He carried the torch out at Habs game on Monday.
The NHL Alumni Association is devastated to share that Claude Lemieux has passed away at the age of 60.

One of my favorite times in hockey was the Red Wings vs Avs rivalry in the 90s. During the Fight Night at the Joe game, McCarty and Lemieux threw gloves off as soon as the puck hit the ice after a face off.
As much as I hated Lemieux at that time, he was great for the NHL, and a great post-season player. Hockey lost a good one today.

This the type of hockey I grew up with. They were certainly a different breed back then! RIP Claude.

Saw a video earlier of the first goal where there wasn't any commentary, just the noise from the arena. I'd like to petition all ESPN NHL broadcasts allow this is a a simulcast or something seeing as how ****ty ESPN commentary is.
