Had my first suspicions when they refused to call. Funny how I used to think folks were paranoid and wondered if there really were people out there doing it. Guess it's going both ways! Posting in the ticket exchange since you and I both experienced it today!

it's likely a scammer, like the e-mail listed below.

The interesting part is that the scammer above posted on TexAgs under brya6604, an account created 10 years ago but with only three total posts, including one claiming to have World Cup tickets.
