I saw all the build up to The Paper as The Office like. I gave it 4 episodes and I'm out. There's not been one funny line or even a chuckle. I've been watching TV since before colr TV and it's the worst show I've ever seen.

This. My recollection from the 90s was that they ran out of Texas cliches and colloquialisms after about half a season and then it just became a soap opera of a conservative, bucolic, dad trying to raise a fruity son, a frustrated, prudish, menopausal housewife, a cranky grandfather, a conspiracy theorist whose wife was cheating on him, and their uncomfortable interactions with a misunderstood Laotian family.

My wife watched the entirety of Call the Midwife. Every other show on this list is fighting for second place.
