I made the mistake of playing with one of our Brittanies (another bird dog) with a laser pointer. I'll never do that again. She became absolutely obsessed with glints of light. To the point I would have to take my watch off in the car because of the glint of sunlight it would reflect onto the roof of my truck...sunlight shining in the window...the beam of a flashlight...it was bad. I could tell be the look in her eyes that it wasn't fun for her. It was obsession. Made me feel terrible for doing that to her.

She's gone now, which makes me sad.

My wife had a roommate that had a lab mix that was permanently ruined by a laser pointer. If sunlight reflected off of something and made a spot on the wall, she would just stare at it for hours, hoping it would move.

I'm dog sitting for my sister's two pups; a 3yo Cavipoo and a 4mo Bernedoodle. Duncan found himself in a cone due to a hotspot. Needless to say I am very sleep deprived right now.
