Tanya was born in Houston (The Heights) on March 23, 1971. She moved to Spring at a young age and graduated from Klein Forest high school in 1989. She went to A&M that fall. Tanya worked her way through college working 35 hours per week at the Appletree bakery. She graduated in May 1994 with a BA in English and a minor in Russian (and no college debt).
Tanya and I would get married in May 1995. She registered on TexAgs in 1999, became a teacher in 2000, a mother in 2008, and a Missourian in 2013. We were divorced in 2019 but remained in close contact as we shared our son, Benny. Benny will turn 17 in 15 days, and I hate that his Mom won't be there to see it.
I know that Tanya meant a lot to a number of you, but I don't have much to say outside of dumping some facts. She died this morning at 8:40 AM.
We will be having a service in either La Grange (where her sister lives) or B/CS. I will pass along information when I have some.
