I just read an article about it. Originates, allegedly, from a song by Skrilla. He mentions 6 7, could be 67th street where the rapper is from in Philadelphia, then LaMelo Ball is featured somehow later and talks about his height, 6-7. From there "social media".

apparently an NBA commentator talking about a players (Lamelo Ball) height.. he said 'six seven' and then someone interjected the skrillex song where he says six seven (in refernece to a street) and then kids just started saying it.

that's what I've heard, although for several weeks no kid even really knew.

First heard this on our summer trip in July, it's already kinda gone away at this point.
