shopping online-sometimes you get better discounts. For example, at academy online you can use your ID.Me account for a discount that I have never been successful at using in store. Or you can google "coupon code for XYZ store."

Because we all have anonymous usernames, is it really social media?

It's not used the same way FB, Instagram, Twitter, and others are used.

This is actually a cheat code, but not in the way you think. Keeping your tank at least half-full of gas in a hurricane area or natural disaster prone area can help you skidattle out of the area faster and not end up in a line for gasoline.

Always be in the middle of the pack to avoid standing out.

Never be photographed.

People want to incriminate themselves by talking about themselves. Don't be one of them.

My parents taught my sister and me to play bridge when I was 12. I was in bridge club in college. I haven't played in nearly 30 years though.

Something i learned in the army that continues to serve me well: Volunteer for every job that is tolerable, that way when something truly awful comes up its not your turn/you're already working on the other thing.

LOL that reminds me of something I learned from an old boss. The guy was lazy and never actually did anything at work, but he would make it seem like he was going crazy and had so much going on anytime someone would stop by his office. I caught on to him because everytime I would stop by to chat he would have sports message boards on his computer lol.

That taught me a valuable lesson. Always appear busy at work, even if you arent, that way no one will give you extra bs work or volunteer you for dumb zero value add projects.

Wouldn't your car weigh less with an empty tank meaning mileage improves as you burn gas?

It's sprung weight though.

More weight means your suspension is compressed and you have less wind resistance.

People should start every day with a glass of water. If you slept 6-8 hours, you haven't had any hydration in 6-8 hours. Kick that off properly with a glass of water.

I've actually used this one when traveling. When I stop at a gas station that asks for phone number for a rewards account I don't have or don't want to sign up for I use (local area code) 867-5309. About half the time it accepts it and I get a small discount at the pump.

In the same vein, I always buy a couple of $5 starbucks gift cards for the flight attendants when I travel. They are always appreciative and will usually go out of their way to help you. I flew to Tokyo last year in basic economy (I managed to score a round trip ticket for points+$55). The crew couldn't upgrade me but they gave me an amenity kit and all my meals from the First Class cabin. They asked if I wanted desert and they brought me a giant ice cream sundae with all the toppings in a ****ing glass dish. My seat mates were wondering what the hell was going on. I've gotten free upgrades and even extra mileage points a few times.

2 months promotional price for pretty much everyone.

You have to log into your account using a web browser, then go to your account management, and you should see it as an option. I believe it's like a $20 discount per month. I don't care since I'm rich but I'll take it.

Thanks to TexAgs premium for that one the other day!
