Apparently some cougers know how to bite the femoral artery in bears. Bears are risk-averse and don't have experience fighting large prey. These two guys think in a cage a bear would beat a lion simply by standing upright but in the wild the lion would win with speed. The gorilla can lift 10 times his weight but can't make a fist.

It's polar bear, gorilla, lion. It's not much a debate. The larges gorillas are 700 pounds. Polar bears regularly get to 1700 or more pounds.

Wasn't entirely joking about a tiger. There was a TA thread a year or two ago on what's happened when lions and tigers accidentally crossed paths in zoos/animal sanctuaries. Apparently the tiger usually comes out on top.

Lions get killed hunting zebra. They're also pack animals. They're out.

Polar bears are way bigger than gorillas.

The better question is how many gorillas does it take to get a polar bear down? I'd guess 3.
