Yeah, joining college band should not entail having to join another club in order to be in it.

Regardless, even DCI is not really a halftime show. It's an activity all it's own. But it is the very best in the world.
I just wish all the kids at A&M who would enjoy an opportunity to march were given one. My other alma mater, Virginia Tech, has found a way for both types of college bands to co-exist. A&M is having no part of that - to the detriment of 95% of the student body.
