Would you want to be in this crowd? My answer is hell no. This is River Plate (large football stadium) in Argentina, December 2009.

No. It must smell like a port-o-potty.

I hadn't thought of the smell. It just looks like a good way to get crushed, and I can't imagine that at 5'7" I'd be able to see the show with everyone jumping in front of me.

Tiny blonde gal I know was on the floor at the Texxas Jamm in the Astrodome in the mid-80's and said she could pick up her feet and not fall down because she was being held in place by the pressure of the people around her.

The closest I got to that experience was Monsters of Rock at Rice Stadium. We went down to the field after Metallica to catch Dokken's set. It got a little screwy down there after the sound went out halfway thru their set and Don and George started screaming at each other and George launched the Skeleton guitar across the stage.

Had to nope out of that scene and go back to the lower prom.

I had the same experience at Six Flags in Arlington on senior night back in the day. Night Ranger was the band. While waiting for them to open the gate, pressed against the gate, I lifted my feet off the ground. It was hard to breathe. It was also raining. After they opened the gate it was just as crazy as we all rushed into the parking lot where the stage was set up through 3 or 4 inches of rain water. Neat story.

That was the Black Ice Tour of '08-'09. I was there in the good seats just above the crowd. Great concert. It was the first time I felt my clothes vibrating from loud noise. The crowd in my city was full of 40 year olds rocking out and happy to learn that they could still stay out past 10. Some dude next to me who looked like a deacon smoked an entire joint.
