I'm sure the team is focused on one game at a time, but timing has killed us. Moving from FCS to FBS, NIL, and a new coaching staff in a couple of years period is really working against them now. Funds are scarce.

I follow one of their writers on Twitter. They've been very open about the fact that they were overachieving even by winning the national title at the I-AA level, and they've successfully punched above their resources financially. They simply don't have the resources for the NIL game right now.

Add in the fact that Longo's offense basically takes a year to sink in everywhere he has been, and you have the perfect storm for a disaster this season.
