Someone in my neighborhood put up those big "Happy birthday" signs in their yard for their dog.

  • Slept pretty good. Should have gotten up earlier but it is what it is.
  • Have to read part of a book today so we can have a discussion this afternoon for work.
  • Kiddo ortho appt during lunch
  • Need to do laundry and pack for softball tourney this weekend.
  • Travel work tonight.
Really loving this cooler weather! Just hope our tourney doesn't get rained out this weekend.

Years ago my wife got us 23 and me subscriptions. They update genetic profiles as they obtain new data. The latest version shows I am 10.3 % French, 1.1 % Portuguese-Galician(????) 0.2% Icelandic (??????) .02 Native American.
Oh, and 8% German-Dutch.

The rest is British Isles, por supuesto.

I'll probably do one last run this evening before race day

I've been wasting my time working. It's apparently really, really easy to steal jewels worth $102 million from the Louvre, and here I am religiously checking my balance in checking each day. There wasn't even a camera covering the wall/window where they broke in. Hollywood movies had misled me to believe that this kind of heist would be exceedingly difficult. Opportunity missed.

I thought it was the employees who did it, but they said it was all the dentists around town made a pumpkin and then they're there to vote. I voted for number 18, which is the cow. I thought it was adorable.
