Lately, at least twice a week me and my wife have been splitting about a half bottle of vodka "…usually onnTuesday and Friday nights, and getting hammered drunk and then then having sex like 5 or 6 times each night .
If we do this twice a week (like I buy a bottle of vodka every Saturday,)does this make us alcoholics?

She's also definitely getting more hammered (in more ways than one) if you're splitting it equally.

Before this thread takes off, would you mind defining the word alcoholic. I'm an alcoholic, and I haven't had drink in almost 35 years.

You are posting drunk on a Thursday asking if drinking mostly on Friday and Tuesdays makes you an alcoholic.

You are young. Enjoy having fun with your lady. It won't be long until yall have kids and she is tired and *****y all the time. Enjoy these times, they are fleeting.

I think most people would say a "bottle" is the 750 ml size, which is 17 standard drinks. Half a bottle, 8.5 drinks. Splitting half a bottle is 4.25 drinks per person.

Oh. As long as those 4.25 are spread out over an hour or so you're borderline good to drive. Definitely not alcoholic

My AA is a little rusty but I believe the big book defines an alcoholic as someone who develops "cravings" one they start drinking. Meaning once they have a drink or two, it's off to the races with no brakes.
