I'm jumping back into a time capsule and eating at a early dining memory before it went all belly up from a Hepatitis B outbreak and making 650 people not happy and four unfortunate deaths shuttering it. But its back, and that legendary fried ice cream is coming with it.

My first job out of college was in 1995 in Lima, Ohio. They had a Chi Chi's. It's the worst TexMex I've ever had. Swiss cheese on an enchilada? I can remember them serving "sweet corn cake." Back in Texas, we called it cornbread.

It is not unlike what happened at Dick's. As it matured, business stayed hard and fast. Sadly, things stayed soft after a while. The plumbing problems didn't help.
