Does anyone know the last time or if TexAgs has ever redesigned the look? Was this the first version they set up and just let ride? What is the oldest/ first thread?

As legend has it, long dead poster named mkf dos attacked and killed texags. He had dirt on Gabe and Slocum so he was welcomed back and paid handsomely to design the mobile version. His face is memorialized in that weird saw em off statue thing outside of Kyle Football

This is exactly correct. Right MkF?

I believe this fine website was launched in 1998.
Because his intention was to have several forums, Peter actually contacted me to see if I would serve as a moderator of one of them or a moderator in general. I cannot remember the specific details.
I was honored by the request, but my profession and family had me busier than a Wal*Mart bag in a tornado.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this website, as well as, discussions with some of the finest posters on the planet.
Oh, and ….
Hook 'em!

Can confirm the forum was around in Spring 1998, it's how I used to kill time between classes at one of the computer labs way back when.

I think i discovered TexAgs because I was at a game, probably in 2000, where some drunk guy was pissed and said he was going to go home and post about it on TexAgs.

I first started getting on Texags because they had the camera view of the construction of The Zone.

And later took us to the camera on the destruction of Jolly Rollie

This is where being married to Tanya came in handy. Tanya first turned me onto the college baseball forum at austin360.com and then on to TA whenever it launched (I was Will94 until 2011).
