I had to do a double take making sure I didn't already post in this thread.
I brown my butter and it takes the pie to another level. Just one more read to never buy store bought. If you don't have time to make your own , take both pilsbury crusts and lightly rub one with softened butter. Stack the other on top and use as one. It's a big improvement and closer to homemade
Also, whole pecans make pretty pictures of whole pies, but make slices look mushy because they push down when the knife comes down. Pecan pieces make much better looking slices
