Did anyone else grow up eating at Grandy's? A quick google tells me they were bought by Captain D's in 2011 and there are only 23 locations left.

We didn't eat at Grandy's often. I don't ever remember having anything other than CFS as a main.

Apparently it has changed hands a number of times, and is now owned by Centre Partners (thanks Wiki) and has over 500 locations!

I haven't had it in forever. Growing up we were a Long John Silver's family when we had the chance to eat at a nice sit-down restaurant. Captain D's was a little too uppity for us.

You can eat chicken livers but DO NOT eat Polar Bear livers as a horrible death will occur. One Polar Bear liver is toxic enough to kill 52 humans. Vitamin A excess.

While I have been known to enjoy the chicken breakfast biscuit from Bojangles on occasion I have only had their regular fried chicken once and I thought it was incredibly salty. My BIL from Tennessee just said "yeah, that's the point" since everyone's tastebuds were killed by all of the moonshine.

I ordered a spicy Chicken sandwich and a two piece the other day. The sandwich was surprisingly sub-par. However the spicy leg and and thigh were on point. If popeyes were more consistent they would dominate.

Jim's Crispy Fried Chicken in Mexia is hard to beat. Also, the illustrious Anna Nicole Smith was once an employee there.
