Yeah, I don't know what I was expecting, but after watching that trailer I doubt I'll be watching the series unless reviews are somehow great. Among the obvious cheese, I think it's Powell's Chad Powers persona, in particular. Rather than an average, unassuming Joe, it's seemingly borderline Simple Jack from Tropic Thunder, which is an odd choice.

Looking forward to this, it's a fun watch. Oscillates between fish out of water sitcom with an edge and random violent beatdowns, great cast too.

That's great news! I forgot about that show, but now I'm gonna have to rewatch season one. And as much as I absolutely loved the animation, I think of that as the icing on the cake, because just the storyline was fantastic in and of itself.

Not gonna start a new thread for it unless there's interest, but I watched the first two eps on a whim last night and it was dumb but fun. They set him up to be a truly awful person, which I appreciated, and the total awkwardness of his alternate persona makes for some laughs.

It's not great but any means but entertaining enough for what it is so far.

Yeah, I'm curious where exactly they take it and hope it's not too neatly tied up of a redemption story, but I'm pleasantly surprised so far.
