I think it was fake and part of the act. He did chop a cabbage clean in half to start to prove it was real, then planted into a table a couple times, but I think the blood had to be a trick.

QOTSA Austin City Limits taping was awesome! The floor was all seating and I was in the 6th row on the right side right on the aisle. We were told to remain seated for the show but could get up in between acts for drinks/bathroom. The act breaks were very short so some people got caught outside and had to slowly filter back in. This was my sixth time seeing them and I was excited for a different experience. The email said to dress up so I wore a black suit with a funky pink/blue long sleeve shirt unbuttoned a bit, and Vans. It was an interesting mix of people who got the memo and those that didn't.

The show was three acts. Act I was just acoustic (except bass and keys) and strings. Act II was the same but with a brass section. Act III was more of a regular Queens vibe. Entire set list was fantastic. None of the hits, but rather songs that fit the vibe of the show.

Josh walked around the crowd a lot. At one point there were two empty seats one row in front of me and like 3 seats to the right , and on his way down the aisle Josh shimmied down the row and stood on those chairs for part of " Spinning in Daffodils" and it was AWESOME. One reason I love concerts (and probably why we all do) is it makes me feels like a kid again. I felt like a teenager thinking to myself "Holy Sheeet! Josh Homme is like 6 feet from me, towering over me, singing his heart out!!!"

The first act really showcased what an amazing and powerful voice Josh has! He sounds spectacular! A typical Queens show is so loud and he's bopping around and you don't get to appreciate it, but when it's just him singing in a spot light the dude absolutely commands the room.

Left my house in Houston around 1:45 and got to bed around 1:15 and was soooo worth it.

I saw em the next night at Bass Concert Hall and got home around 1:30. Absolutely worth the weeknight road trip to Austin. Tickets sold out quickly, so I'm glad i got to see it. 'Someone's In The Wolf' seems to stand out to me the most a couple days later out of the songs not on the 'Catacombs' EP. Loved the arrangements and enjoyed the show much more in person than what I saw from the ACL livestream (imagine that). At one point the weed aroma was a overwhelming, but that's a very minor complaint. Paris Jackson was an odd choice for opener, but thankfully she only played for a half hour.

I think they are touring with other big bands next year, so I probably won't see em again for a while.

Dream State in Long Beach. Tiesto's return to Trance after like 20 years. Cool 2 day festival I've wanted to go to for years.

I ****ing hate Ticketmaster. I was in there buying tickets, I literally had some on my cart...it kicked me out and put me 250,000 in the queue.

Down to 50k.

I'm sure there will be nothing left when I finally get back in

Im in right now and there's a lot. Floor for just under $200 right now, but decent lower level seats are over $300.

Got club level in SA for $186 each before fees and tax.

Ended up less than $250 each all-in.

I'm not a huge Zach Bryan fan but these will be Christmas present for my daughter. I am looking forward to it, we've been hoping he would come back around soon.

I ended up getting a couple in 339 for $169 a piece after fees, etc.

Seemed like a better bargain than floor or some of the corner club levels

Looking forward to seeing Caamp, been on my list for awhile but they seem to mainly only play festivals.

You think Ticketmaster is bad you should have seen AXS this morning for all of Billy Strings' spring tour pre-sale.

Specifically, the 4K person venue in St. Augustine, FL that I was gunning for a 3 day pass for. I've watched the last five years from the couch and they've been the best shows every year save for maybe Halloween and NYE.

Signed up yesterday to receive the pre-sale code 30 minutes before 9 AM today. Get the code. Click the link on my laptop and as the little walking man got close to being my turn I got a screen that said my access had been restricted.

It went on to explain that I was doing something to hide my IP address (wouldn't know how to do that if I tried). It then said if I'm using an Apple device that I had to disable my iCloud Private Relay feature (don't know what the hell that is).

This happened to countless people and during one of the hardest tickets to get annually. The bs went on for awhile. I tried fixing the settings on my phone and by the time I did everything was gone. So here we all are verified buyers and their stupid system thinks we are all bots.

Then I finally got through and there would be a pair pop up here and there but of course the ol' someone beat you to them the second you go to checkout. The good news is I persisted and just stared at the screen on my phone off and on for over an hour. After an hour and 17 minutes a single pair popped up and I snagged them.

Was the most annoying thing in the world but in the end...VICTORY!

*I had no idea Zach Bryan is so big that there could be 250K people in a queue for one of his shows. That's crazy.

Our Lady Peace announced a 30th anniversary tour and FINALLY have a Houston headlining date! It's been forever since that happened. They've been through on bills like BuzzFest or with Live and Collective Soul last year but amped to see a full on OLP show again!

I haven't seen a full show from them in Houston since HOB back in 20009. The spiritual machines tour at aerial before that was still the best.

Downstairs at white oak will be cool

Yeah I saw them at HOB for the Burn Burn Burn tour and had a pass to see the sound check and meet them (thanks to ClumsyMonkey.net) which was cool.

Seen them 5-6 times, including when they came to the Woodlands and the bill was Oleander, OLP, and Creed. Scott Stapps voice gave out after 3-4 songs and they rescheduled a couple weeks later, so I got to see OLP twice which was the band I was there for anyway.

Just grabbed my ticket for $48 including fees. Gotta love seeing old bands sometimes, it's CHEAP!!!

A few odd things about this - it's not clear that the actual original members will be at all dates, or whether they're going to be hologram type performances. Alot of strange info coming out about this. I hardly think Triumph is a big enough band to use holograms, particularly for musicians who are still alive, alongside tribute band members.

And April Wine's main singer/songwriter/guitarist was Myles Goodwyn, who died 3-4 years ago. And there's only one classic era band member left, and the others are all newbies. So it's not really April WIne either, but a tribute band. IMO.

Anybody score Phish Sphere tickets? Was like 700 in the queue but lucked out and grabbed 2 seats in the upper section for the final show on 5/2. Very, very stoked for this one. It's definitely a bucket list item for me.

Caught both nights in Austin in June after a 22 year gap between shows for me. They still sound incredible after 4 decades.

Yep. Tickets for both the Moody Center and Moody Theater tomorrow.

I did the entire Texas run. Fort Worth show was great, especially the second set and encore. Saturday big Moody was off the charts in the PIT.

I was disappointed with the ACL Live show considering they did the same style sit down show there last year of mostly all old bluegrass standards.

They sounded great but I was hoping for a regular old rager.

Four more months til St Augustine.
